Sara Odioso has been teaching middle school math for over 10 years. She has a Bachelor's in Math from Allegheny College and Masters in Secondary Math Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been focused on helping all students see themselves as mathematicians and believe that they are capable of learning math at high levels. Sara works at Nativity Prep Academy, which is a tuition-free Catholic school for low-income students that will be the first of their generation to go to and graduate from college. Working with a population of ELLs, Sara has seen that having a strong math identity is even more important than having good grades in math.
Sara lives in San Diego with her partner Matt and cat Pepper. She loves hiking, camping, and karaoke!
