Curtis Taylor is originally from Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Clemson University (Go Tigers!) where he received his B.A. in Elementary Education, and the University of San Diego where he received his M.Ed. in STEAM Education. He recently earned his Doctorate of Education from the University of California, San Diego. His researched focused on the impact of lesson studies as a driving force for math teachers to understand and grow in their self-efficacy of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy. He was very fortunate to join the High Tech family in the Fall of 2013 where he has been teaching 6th grade for the last seven years! In addition, Curtis is the co-project director for the Lesson Study Fellowship Program at HTH as well as a practitioner faculty for the HTH Graduate School of Education.
